BIGHEARTS.AFRICA Absorption Journey

This is the journey through which various entities work together with the purpose of contributing to the development of small businesses and the employment of people.

The BigHearts.Africa Absorption Journey is made up of various functions that contribute to the employability of people and the growth of businesses. The Host Placement Opportunity of the BigHearts.Africa Absorption Journey, is an opportunity for your organisation to benefit from Youth placement.

The Benefits

A Sponsor has agreed to pay the stipends of the Youth during the period of placement. This means that you will have additional working hands without the responsibility of paying additional salaries.

Your organisation is not required to enter an employment contract with the placed Youth for the duration of their placement.

The placement period can be used as a practical interview period, during which your organisation can determine which people fit into your organisation for employment purposes.

Participate in the actual transferal of knowledge, skills and work ethic to Youth through an on the job work experience.

WELCOME TO OUR JOURNEY

Lesley John Esau

“With out the YES Program believing in me as an individual, I would never have gotten this opportunity to gain my core values and work experience. The YES programme initiative does so much for the South African economy in helping unemployed Youths gain the valuable work experience they need to achieve their goal”

Tristan Murray

This YES Program means a lot to me, if it wasn't for the YES program I would have struggled to get a job, due to lack of experience. Being part of the YES program helped me to get into administration work. I have learned how to communicate professionally and be friendly towards guests and staff members. I have also learned a lot about time management as well.

Nigel Claassen

I am 21 years old and I am part of the YES program. I matriculated at Pacaltsdorp High School and started my YES program in 2022. Since starting the program, I have become a driver’s assistant. The stipend I receive enables me to help my mother and also pay for my little sister’s creche fees. This work experience has given me a lot of confidence. I would like to be a courier driver or train to be able to install solar panels
